Epee -  Sunday 24th January 2010 - Packwood Haugh School, RuytonXI Towns, Shrewsbury, Shropshire. SY4 1HX   

The Cadet Winton event is now confirmed as 19-20 Dec 2009, Millfield School, Street, Somerset. 

West Midlands fencers born 1 Jan 1992 or later are eligible for this event. It involves all 6 weapons

If available and interested please urgently submit direct by email (with parental permission) the fencer's name, email address and fencing evidence for selection to the relevant person leading for that weapon:

The initial submission must be completed by 20 November to ensure inclusion at selection process 21 Nov 2009

Whilst the West Midlands region of England Fencing subsidizes this event substantially there is a charge for the fencers accommodation, catering and support costs which this year equate to £95 per head. It does involve a very early start on Sat 19 and return Sun 20th Dec. Transport provided.

The WM Age Group qualifying competitions for this event will be held on the weekend of the 23rd/24th January 2010. Full details will follow in due course.

***NEW*** WM VETERANS  - AN APPEAL  ***NEW ***

In September the National Veterans fencing association run a mixed team competition. The WM Section, co-ordinated by Peter Baron (ex Vets World Champion!) are trying to put together a WM team for this year's event, which the NVA hopes to develop into a Vet's Winton Cup.

Could all Vet fencers (40+) in the region consider whether they would be interested in taking part, and contact Peter HERE to let him know they are interested - and could all other fencers and coaches pass on the message to Vets in their clubs who might not have seen this  announcement?
